Samarin is a herbal remedy traditionally used for heartburn and acid reflux. Samarin contains sodium bicarbonate, which has an acid neutralizing effect in the stomach.
Samarin is not suitable for people with renal impairment or people who are prescribed low-salt diets.
Not recommended for children under 12 years.
Adults, the elderly and children over 12 years:
1 sachet if needed, but no more than 4 times daily. Empty the contents of the bag into a glass of water. Stir with spoon and allow the drink to simmer. Continuous use is limited to 2 weeks. Contact your doctor if the symptoms worsen or do not improve during this time.
